About Us

We’re Jane & Katie. Two 30-something sisters living in the Bay Area. Jane lives in San Francisco, while Katie in the burbs of Marin. We started this blog to share our love for real food, healthy living, sisterhood, and motherhood as we lead our equally crazy, yet different lives here in Northern California. We plan to share a little glimpse of our lives with you from daily happenings, to delicious whole food recipes, and more each week. Thanks for checking us out and feel free to reach out!

About Jane

Hi, I’m Jane, a 30-something living in San Francisco. Start-up Project Manager by day, in my free time I love to eat real food, get my sweat on, and explore the city of San Francisco. I try my best to lead a healthy life, but also ensure I treat myself when need be. It’s all about that balance. (Cliche, but so, so true.)

I’ve been dating my boyfriend Sean for quite a while now, and one day soon I am going to convince him that we NEED a dog (and maybe some other things too.) We love cooking together, and 9 times out of 10, I will take credit for his feats in the kitchen and mine. That’s how it works, right?

I used to also run a lot, but now I have been trying new things as well, like CrossFit, Pilates, Spin, you name it. I love running, but my feet not so much, so now I stick to shorter races with a half marathon thrown in here and there just to keep it up.

Besides all that, I love traveling and usually have some plan about which city, country, continent is next on my list.

About Katie

Hi! My name is Katie and I’m a 30-something stay at home mama living in beautiful Marin County, just north of San Francisco. My husband, Travis, and I moved to the burbs from SF in 2013 when we bought our first home. We brought along our French Bulldog pup, Cooper, and decided shortly after we moved that he needed a buddy. That’s when Sadie came along. They are the best of buds and as cute as can be.

My husband and I were ready to start a family very soon after we got married, but it took a little (well, actually a LOT) longer than expected. We went through a long fertility journey and some tough times, but it was all worth it when we welcomed our little miracle into the world. In November 2015, our daughter, Hayden, was born. She is my greatest joy and love. She is currently 15 months old and I’m having so much fun watching her grow and learn new things everyday.

I’m currently trying to navigate my way through the crazy journey of motherhood. It’s filled with lots of ups and downs, highs and lows, and lots of laughs and love in between. I’m passionate about healthy living for my family, cooking and trying out new recipes, and finding a balance between mom life and well, just me, Katie.
